Only 58 days away!

It is only 58 days until our next family reunion on August 9-12! The main purpose of this post is to remind each of you and your families to register for your housing. We have until Monday, June 18 to register exclusively for the reserved rooms. After that time, the rooms are open to the general public. We are a little concerned that the reservations are down from the last reunion, so we’re writing this letter! We will be contacting representatives of the cousin generation with lists of those who have registered, so you can make sure everyone attends this important event.

Our location is Green Lake Convention Center in the middle of lovely Wisconsin. Check it out at glcc.org. The rooms at Bauer and Roger Williams (where the bulk of us will be staying) start at $115 per night per room (single or double occupancy) with $15 extra for each additional adult (21 and over) in the room. Some rooms hold 2 with others holding 3, 4, 5 or even 6. Children and youth, under age 21, in rooms with parents, stay free. There is no charge for cribs used in lieu of beds. Some of you have requested to camp or be in cabins and those arrangements have also been made. Just call 920-294-3323 and a friendly person will help you out.

As of today, most of the rooms at Bauer Lodge are filled. But, there are rooms at Roger Williams (and other areas). The rooms at RW are smaller and hold up to three, but you can add cots and/or cribs. The RW rooms are the ones we suggest for our older folks because they are nearer to activities.

As you recall from last time, the food at Green Lake is fantastic. The cost of nine meals and five coffee hours (lemonade, coffee, plates, cups) is about $107 per adult, $88 age 6-11 with 5 and under free. This represents about a 1.5% increase over the costs of food from the last reunion.

We are working to arrange for reservations at Lawsonia golf course for a little tourney on Friday from 8:00 to 1:00. Check it out at www.lawsonia.com. More information will be coming in the next activity letter.

There is no payment necessary for the family T-shirts this year, but Diane will need information about sizes and numbers from each of the families. The forms are attached again for your convenience. Please send them by July 1.

The activity schedule is being finalized now and will be out this week. Carla will be contacting each of the family members for their specific responsibilities. We’re leaving lots of the fun details to you!

Meanwhile, talk with your families and pray for us as we continue to plan. As always, we'd appreciate any new ideas you may have. Let's make our 2012 reunion a great time of sharing, laughing, loving, remembering, praying and worshipping together as we celebrate the love of our fantastic family.
